Important Order Policies & Guidelines

At Marelli Exclusive, most of our products are made to order by independent European designers and produced specifically for each customer in the selected size, color, and options.

We understand that purchasing a made-to-order product online is an important decision. Please review the information below before placing your order. If you have questions about sizing, measurements, colors, customizations, production timing, or available options, we are happy to assist before your order is submitted for production.

Order Review & Confirmation

After your order is placed, we will review the order details and contact you to confirm measurements, sizing, color selections, customizations, or other important information before submitting the order to the designer.

Customers are responsible for reviewing and confirming all order details provided to Marelli Exclusive.

Once your order has been approved and submitted to the designer for production, changes may no longer be possible.

Production Time

Each product is individually produced after the order is submitted to the designer.

Production times vary depending on the designer, product, materials, customization, and current production volume. Estimated production times are provided on our website or during the ordering process.

Production estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates. If we become aware of a significant production delay, we will contact you as soon as possible.

Please allow additional time for international shipping, customs processing, and, when applicable, alterations after delivery.

Sizing & Measurements

Designer sizing may differ from standard retail sizing and can vary between designers. Please review the designer-specific size chart on the product page before selecting your size.

If your measurements do not correspond closely with one standard size, we recommend selecting Custom Size when available.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate measurements. Incorrectly submitted measurements are not considered a production defect.

Because products are individually constructed and finished by hand, finished measurements may vary slightly. A tolerance of approximately 0.5 inch in either direction is considered normal.

Custom Sizing

Custom sizing means the product is produced using the measurements provided for the order. It does not guarantee that no alterations will be necessary.

Body proportions and fit preferences vary from person to person, and final tailoring may still be needed to achieve the desired fit.

Customizations

Some designers allow modifications to existing designs, such as changes to sleeves, neckline, train, lining, length, coverage, or other details.

All customization requests must be reviewed and approved by the designer before production.

Additional charges may apply depending on the materials and complexity of the requested change.

Please contact us before ordering if you are considering a customization.

Once an approved customization has been submitted to production, it is final. Any changes requested after submission are not guaranteed.

Handmade Design Variations

Many of our products feature handmade elements including lace, appliqués, embroidery, beadwork, embellishments, draping, decorative trims, and other individually applied details.

Pearl embellishments used on our products are decorative imitation pearls and are not genuine natural or cultured pearls unless specifically stated otherwise.

Because each product is individually produced, the exact placement or appearance of these details may vary slightly from the sample product or professional photographs.

These small variations are normal in handmade production and are not considered defects.

Color & Appearance

Colors may appear differently depending on photography, lighting, computer monitors, mobile devices, and individual screen settings.

Different materials used within the same product may also reflect color differently.

When available, we may be able to provide a photograph, video, or fabric sample before ordering if an exact shade is especially important.

Accessories & Styling

Accessories shown in designer photographs are not included unless specifically stated in the product description or selected as an option.

This may include items such as crinolines, petticoats, veils, detachable sleeves, capes, belts, gloves, jewelry, or other styling accessories.

Some accessories may be available separately for an additional cost.

Alterations & Final Fit

Bridal, formal, and special-occasion products frequently require final tailoring after delivery.

We recommend allowing sufficient time between receiving your product and your event date for steaming, pressing, alterations, and final fitting when applicable.

The need for normal alterations does not mean that a product was produced incorrectly.

Rush Orders

Rush production may be available for certain designers and products for an additional fee.

A rush order shortens the expected production timeline but cannot guarantee an exact delivery date.

International shipping, customs inspections, carrier delays, weather, production circumstances, and other events outside our control may affect delivery.

Customers placing rush orders should allow as much additional time as possible before their event.

Event Dates

Please provide your event date when requested so that we can help evaluate whether the estimated production and shipping timeline is reasonable.

Submitting an order close to an event date does not guarantee delivery before the event.

Shipping & Customs

Products ship internationally directly from the designer or production facility.

Shipping times are estimates and may vary depending on destination, customs clearance, carrier delays, weather, and other circumstances outside our control.

International customers may be responsible for import duties, taxes, brokerage fees, or other charges assessed by their country. These charges are not included unless specifically stated otherwise.

Cancellations, Returns & Production Issues

Orders canceled within 24 hours of confirmed payment are eligible for a full refund.

Because most of our products are made to order, cancellation, return, and exchange restrictions apply once an order has been approved and submitted to the designer.

If your product arrives with a verified production error or you receive an incorrect item, we will work with you to review and resolve the issue.
